At 2,400 meters (7,870 ft) above sea level, Gurez Valley lies deep in the Himalayas, near the Line of Control, about 123 km (5–6 hrs) from Srinagar. How to Reach:

• By Air: Srinagar International Airport (123 km / 5–6 hrs).

• By Road: Accessible via Bandipora and the Razdan Pass (11,672 ft). Roads remain closed in heavy snow (typically Dec–April).

• By Rail: Jammu Tawi (360 km) is the nearest major railhead.
